If you want to print – just right-click and select “Open Link in New Window” and then print as many as you need.

In case you don’t get the reference, the valentine is from a Season 4 episode of the Simpson’s entitled “I Love Lisa”. After Lisa notices that Ralph Wiggum has not received any Valentine’s Day cards, she gives him this one.

It’s a classic episode and I always thing of this card when it rolls around.

I signed up for a Grand Central phone number shortly after Google acquired the service and I received a Beta Invite. Not sure why I did. I don’t use it. The idea of one number you could keep and direct to other numbers sounded appealing.

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of odd phone calls. First, the number was accidentally published in an ad looking for truck drivers. I started getting phone calls asking about the job. I eventually found out the company and contacted them.

I more recently started getting calls from an elderly gentleman. I always let them go to voice mail. Listening to the message embedded above, I guess he got tired of that.

I can’t believe it was 20 years ago when I first started reading Sandman from DC Comics Vertigo imprint. It was my introduction to Neil Gaiman and I’ve been a fan ever since.

I’ve devoured everything Sandman related since then and I eagerly await receiving the final 2 volumes in the Absolute Sandman series this Christmas, so I can re-read the entire series.

One great thing about the series was the cast of rotating artists. Being only 14 when the series started, it introduced me to great artists like Jill Thomson, Marc Hempel, MIke Zuli, and more.

If you’re a fan of the series or great looking art, you should check out the Endless Refelctions: 20 Years of Sandman gallery. Many of the pieces are available for purchase—if you have the $$.

could describe in words how proud I am of him. He's so smart and inquisitive. He's just starting to figure out how to read. I am can't wait until we can read together. I hope I can instill in him a
love of reading, like I have. He's already well on his way. I can't wait until I get home and can hear all about his first day of school.

I know, this is for collectors, but I know Carter would love one of these and if I hadn’t saved one from 10 years, he wouldn’t be getting one.

Seriously, it’s sad how much toys are today. I know, inflation, but that can’t be all of it. Transformers are $10 and $20. It’s crazy.

It’s nice the DC has a new 3 3/4″ figure line out that’s $5 a figure (and I think Marvel is doing something similar). That’s equivalent to when I was a kid. I remember I got $1 a week for allowance and every 2 weeks I had enough to be a new Star Wars figure–they were $1.99.

We give Carter $4 or $5 a week (based on his chores) and that could buy 1 new figure – so maybe that evens out. Still, $150 for a Millennium Falcon is too much.
