JohnnyHorrorShow

Artist Johnny Ryan will have a horror themed series of artwork on display at Secret Headquarters in L.A. through January 7th, 2008. Anyone in the area that’s a fan of horror should check it out. The painting are for sale and every single piece looks cool.

For those that can’t make the show, all of the pieces are posted on a Flickr set by SecretHeadquarters. My favorites have to be the Exorcist, the Alien vs. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Thing.

There’s a new Iron Man preview image floating around the ‘Net (and a very cool one). The suit looks incredible. I think it’s absolutely perfect. The fact that they created such a believable looking, practical suit is great. They could have done all CGI, but the suit looks better (and is probably cheaper). Click the image for a larger view.

The Dark Knight viral web campaign is in full swing and the reveal of the full body shot of Heath Ledger as the Joker at Empire magazine has happened. What’s left. What’s the viral campaign building too.

The first assumption is a trailer. Aside from the few that attended the panel at the 2007 San Diego Comic-Con, no one has seen any footage from the film. Less that 6 months from release, that’s unbelievable for a release of this magnitude. So a trailer is a given.

What about Harvey Dent. The sites that started all of this months ago (IBelieveInHarveyDent.com and IBeliveInHarveyDentToo.com) are still there, with the content unchanged. The original WhySoSerious.com Pumpkin image decayed into a Two-Face style Jack-O-Lantern. Maybe that’s what we’re building up a too. The reveal of Two-Face. It may be in a trailer or in an image, but I feel like this build-up needs to lead to something new and unexpected. Something more than a trailer. I’d be satisfied with Two-Face.

Empire_joker

Bad Internet. Looks like the full image of the Joker from the Empire Magazine Cover has been leaked early. Click the image for a larger version.

Early buzz seems that a lot of people don’t like the image. I personally, think it’s pretty cool. Different from any previous live version we’ve seen, which is what the character needs.

I’ll still be watching the He Is Coming site for the full image without all the cover copy in the way.

Cloverfield Monster

Well, not really, but you can actually see a split-second glimpse of something in the newly released trailer.

Browsing Michael’s comments, I found a few more interesting links regarding the creature.

This creature mock up image, mirrors some of the details leaked. This means the details were either accurate or the image was created based on the details.

This video, loops the footage I pulled the screen-shot from.

Regardless, I’m excited to see the film. It’s an interesting concept, by a creator I like. Having said that, the LOST Missing Pieces shorts are somewhat disappointing, so far. The first with Jack was interesting, but the second one (with Hurley) felt like a Saturday Night Live skit that was going nowhere.
