Appropriately enough for May 4th, TomTom has announced that Star Wars voices for their GPS products will be available (only in Europe, right now). Yes, it’s as cool as it sounds. Just watch the video for Darth Vader recording his voice. It ends as you’d expect, but it’s still hilarious.

Roger Ebert’s New Voice
If you read the Esquire interview with Ebert that I posted a week or so ago, this is the computer recreation of his voice that a company was working on. While it’s a little rough, there’s no denying it’s Ebert’s voice. Very amazing.

Wearable Computer Interface
Check out this video of an interactive computer interface that works on almost any surface. It’s similar to what was used in “Minority Report.” At first, I thought things like this would never come to pass, but some of these examples look practical. Give them another 10 years to become cheaper, faster and smaller.
