According to the Ultra Sonic ring tones site, I’ve got the hearing of 20 year old. That’s pretty amazing to me since I’ve long passed 20 and when I was in my late teens I played bass in a rock band. I just knew I wouldn’t be able to hear very far up the scale.
I could barely make out 17.7kHz, but not well enough I could be doing something else and hear it. So, take the test and see how well you hear.
I had been struggling with creating an appointment reminder in MS Outlook to be attached to an email. It was for a event registration Intranet application I had been working on. Finally, after getting most of it working, the most annoying part. . .when the VCS calendar file was sent, the time on the appointment was off by 5-6 hours, depending on the event.
Finally, after searching for what seemed like forever, I found the answer.
Outlook calculates the appointment based on GMT and Tennessee is Eastern Time, so that means I need to add +6 to the time zone when making the appointment.
Just one of those weird problems you bang your head on for hours and you finally stumble across a solution that doesn’t even make sense.
For those of us who use Firefox (and if you’re not, you really should), I just saw what may be the best tip ever.
When you accidentally (or maybe not) close a tab, just use the following keyboard combination Ctrl-Shift-T (Cmd-Shift-T for Mac users) to reopen the last Tab you closed.

Don't Click It is a great, innovative site that everyone should check out. Is it the wave of the future for computer/mouse navigation? I can't say, but there are some interesting and fun experiments that make you think.
The basic idea of the entire website is to navigate the entire site without once clicking your mouse button. It work's really well and the only time I wanted (or felt a click would work better) is on the wave left/right button select. Definitely a site to check out.
Here’s a cool Flash app. that lets you generate a superhero/superheroine by selecting a number of options. You can select a genre (hero, fantasy, sports) and then male or female. From there, you can select any number of options as well as coloring. Very cool little site and definitely worth spending a few minutes there if you have the chance.
