The Hasbro Toy shop now has a Cloverfied monster available for preorder (shipping in October). There’s no image, but the description sounds great.

  • 70 points of articulation and incredible life-like detail
  • Authentic sound
  • 14” tall
  • 10 parasites
  • Two interchangeable heads
  • Statue of Liberty head accessory
  • Special Cloverfield collector’s edition packaging

I don’t know that I would call the Cloverfield collector’s edition packaging a “feature” but maybe it will be amazing.

I don’t think the $99 price tag is amazing. That will probably scare anyone but the most die-hard fan away.

LOST_knoxville

On a trip through Knoxville this weekend, Jill and I spotted the above billboard, but couldn’t make out the spray painted message as we went by. Of course, a quick Google returns many results and they are quite interesting.

There’s a whole viral site located at find815.com and if you don’t have time to decipher the entire game/site, then read Oceanic Conspiracies for a breakdown of the happenings on the site.

Oceanic Conspiracies lists all of the “in game” websites and has summaries of all the videos, voicemail  and other content on the find815.com site.

According to an article in an Omaha newspaper, the billboards appear in cities that LOST fans think are connected to key characters on the show…

Fans of the show believe the billboards have been placed in the area where certain “Lost” characters are from. Kate Austen, who fled to Australia after killing her mom’s lover is played by Evangeline Lilly and in the show is said to be from Iowa. An American marshal captured Austen in Australia and was transporting her back to American before the plane crashed.

The site’s game is set to end on Jan. 31 when the first episode of Season 4 premieres. Here’s hoping that the viral content leads right into the premiere rather than falling flat like the viral game featuring “Rachel” did a few summers ago.

Cloverfield Creature Fan Art

Cloverfield is out and was a great success over the weekend. Making almost $50 million, which is a record for a MLK weekend.

With the DVD of the movie months away, many are left wondering what the monster looks like. Unlike Godzilla, or other creature features, the monster has not been revealed in the trailer.

However, a nice article on /film contain several “fan-art” interpretations of the creature. Check all of them out and see which is the best.

Cloverfield Monster

Well, not really, but you can actually see a split-second glimpse of something in the newly released trailer.

Browsing Michael’s comments, I found a few more interesting links regarding the creature.

This creature mock up image, mirrors some of the details leaked. This means the details were either accurate or the image was created based on the details.

This video, loops the footage I pulled the screen-shot from.

Regardless, I’m excited to see the film. It’s an interesting concept, by a creator I like. Having said that, the LOST Missing Pieces shorts are somewhat disappointing, so far. The first with Jack was interesting, but the second one (with Hurley) felt like a Saturday Night Live skit that was going nowhere.
