Rex Mason, a soldier for hire, was contracted by Simon Stagg to find the Orb of Ra. When he found it, his cohort, Java, stole it and left Rex in the light of an ancient meteor. This meteor transformed Mason into Metamorpho, the Element Man.
Metamorpho has always been one of my favorite heroes. He’s got that weird/cool 60’s look and interesting powers. So, take a listen to the Metamorpho theme song and let it brighten your day as well.
Not as funny as the original, but wait for the first breath and tell me you didn’t laugh. Now, back to your regularly scheduled Chocolate Rain.
It’s always cool to find new t-shirts and you’ll find plenty of them if you’re into movies at Last Exit to Nowhere. Rather than blatant movie tie-ins, the shirts are all clever nods at many classic (or maybe cult-classic) films. See if you can spot all of the movies without reading the shirt descriptions.
Now the bad. Since they’re in the UK, buying and getting one shirt to the U.S. would cost about $40. So, I don’t think I’ll be getting an Amity Island shirt anytime soon.
The Wonder Twins guard the Hall of Justice while the SuperFriends are having an important meeting. When Gleek is kidnapped by Gorilla Grodd and Giganta, he is replaced with an evil robot Gleek that is determined to destroy the SuperFriends.
The other day I ran across a CD of music from the Incredible Hulk TV Series from 1977. It’s got the classic intro and the unforgettable end credit theme (the Lonely Man theme). However, tucked away as track 18, could be quite possibly the greatest song I’ve heard in quite some time. I’m referring to the Disco Version of the Hulk Theme and Lonely Man Theme. So, get out your roller skates and bell-bottom pants and enjoy.
