DC’s next animated, direct-to-DVD movie (after Superman/Doomsday) is an adaptation of Darwyn Cooke’s New Frontier. Based on the preview footage and the voice cast, I have to say that it looks like at A+ already.
Month: August 2007
Aquaman is captured by Ocina when the lost city of Atlantis rises from the sea. Ocina plans to conquer the world with her female warriors. Wonder Woman and Rima the Jungle Girl gather the Amazons of Paradise Island to stop her.
I can’t stand the way McDonald’s markets itself and its food, but I know that Carter and I will likely wind up picking up a few of the Legion of Super Heroes Happy Meal toys. Some of them aren’t half bad looking and who doesn’t need more superheroes. Hopefully you can get them without getting a Happy Meal. I’d pick them up if you can get an ice cream cone and pay $.99 for the toy.
I think someone’s been watching/reading too much Da Vinci Code. The idea that Da Vinci hid an image of a mother and a child in the Last Supper and it can only be seen when a mirror image of the painting is overlaid on the original is insane. Seriously.
Putting a mirror image of any image over itself and reducing the transparency will create all kinds of weirdness, especially in a photo/image full of figures. The mirrored and overlaid image may reveal what looks to be a mother and child, but it is pure accident. Looking at the image, I think it looks like Jesus is looking at the sky with his mouth open and is surrounded by ghosts. That’s not hidden in the image, it’s the mirror image. Seriously, this guy has too much time on his hands and to report it as news even makes it worse.
